Carole Scott

Carole Scott is a retired professor of economics at the University of West Georgia who continues to edit a web journal, B>Quest (Business Quest), for its Richards College of Business. She has both bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration and a Ph.D. in economics from Georgia State University.

She has published a personal finance textbook and a number of articles in academic journals in business, economics, and history. The Carrollton resident has also published articles in nonacademic, historical magazines and a story in a science-fiction magazine.

A third-generation native of Atlanta who took journalism courses in high school and college, Scott's columns were published locally and in Atlanta for many years before she began to write features, news stories and columns, and draw editorial cartoons and take photographs for The Star News.
