Carroll students receive Piedmont degrees

Among the 172 students receiving degrees from Piedmont College at the recent Summer Commencement ceremonies in Demorest were five Carroll County residents.

 

Graduates include, from Bremen: Staci Gillespie, Master of Arts (MA) degree in Early Childhood Education; Venus Sandra Hollowa Swatek, Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction; Charles Young, MA degree in Middle Grades Education; from Carrollton: Amanda Ellen Wilder, EDS degree in Curriculum and Instruction; and from Villa Rica, Korey Lane Fraker, MA degree in Early Childhood Education.

 

Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of more than 2,260 students, with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Georgia. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in more than 50 major areas, master’s degrees in education and business, and doctoral degrees in education.
