“Miss Beefmaster" America Heifer

The Southeastern Beefmaster Breeders Association held the “Miss Beefmaster" America Heifer Futurity & Convention Sale at the Carrollton Ag Center from August 27 to August 28, 2010. This event, which was labeled “a complete venue of education, beauty pageant and sale cattle,” was approved by Beefmaster Breeders United. The beefmaster breed is a cross of Hereford, Shorthorn, and Brahman.

Arlington

This week’s featured pet from the American Veterinary Animal Welfare Foundation is Arlington. He is a three month old male Shar Pei. Arlington is VERY affectionate. He would love to find a home where he can snuggle in bed with his family and go on lots of car rides.

Arlington's adoption fee is $200. He is neutered, micro chipped, and has all of his shots.

Tristan Sharpton

Our Star this week is Tristan Sharpton. This 12-year-old attends 7th grade at Bay Springs Middle School where he is a member of the Junior Beta Club. He works hard at school, is a great friend, and is an excellent brother to six-year-old Westin.

Tristan is very involved in sports. Since age 5, he has played baseball and soccer for the Carroll County Recreational Department. His other hobbies are playing Xbox, watching football, riding bicycles and collecting baseball cards.
