CMS spellers going to championships

Congratulations to Ethan Hembree and Brittany Bertholf for marching their way through a field of 57 talented Central Middle School spellers to move on to the Carroll County Championships.

Ethan, a 6th grader, is our school champion and Brittany will represent our school as alternate. Ethan won the school-wide bee by correctly spelling the word "shrapnel."

Good luck to Ethan as he blasts his way on to the to the county championships on February 10th at 9:30am in the county board room.

Tiggy

This week’s featured pet from the American Veterinary Animal Welfare Foundation is Tiggy. This kitty had a loving home, but his previous owners had to leave him behind when they moved. He is used to living with kids and other animals, and loves to cuddle. Tiggy is three years old, has all of his shots, and is neutered. His adoption fee is $50.

Star of the Week

Kaylin Anduze

This week's Star is Kaylin Anduze. She is a six-year-old kindergartner at Sandhill Elementary. Kaylin is expecting a little brother or sister in a few months. She's so excited that she even has names picked out already!

This little Star loves to listen to music and sing along. She even has her very own karaoke machine! Kaylin is also a big animal lover and recently added a tea cup Yorkie named Lily to her pet family. Some of her other hobbies are swimming, playing outside, and spending time with her family.
