Commissioner Wilson holds meeting to discuss roundabout

A meeting was held by Carroll County District 4 Commissioner John Wilson on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the county Sheriff’s office to discuss a proposed roundabout on Newnan Road (US 27/GA 16).

Wilson said he emailed 80 of his constituents informing them of the meeting, but only three were in attendance. Some Carroll County employees and District 1 Commissioner Trent North also attended the meeting.

Arlington

This week’s featured pet from the American Veterinary Animal Welfare Foundation is Arlington. He is a three month old male Shar Pei. Arlington is VERY affectionate. He would love to find a home where he can snuggle in bed with his family and go on lots of car rides.

Arlington's adoption fee is $200. He is neutered, micro chipped, and has all of his shots.

Tristan Sharpton

Our Star this week is Tristan Sharpton. This 12-year-old attends 7th grade at Bay Springs Middle School where he is a member of the Junior Beta Club. He works hard at school, is a great friend, and is an excellent brother to six-year-old Westin.

Tristan is very involved in sports. Since age 5, he has played baseball and soccer for the Carroll County Recreational Department. His other hobbies are playing Xbox, watching football, riding bicycles and collecting baseball cards.
