County water authority completes manhole repairs; automated meter project two-thirds done

The Carroll County Water Authority met on Aug. 19 at the County Annex at 10 a.m, with all voting members were present, along with non-voting members Donald Newman and Tom Grizzard.
The authority’s customer base was 16,639 for July, and the Snake Creek Water Treatment Plant operated at 60 percent, processing an average of 4.76 million gallons per day. Thirteen main breaks were repaired, thirty-seven lines installed and nine water taps were put in.
