Jacqueline Hall is this week’s star of the week. She is smiling because she works “at the best sub shop in town, PoppaDeli!”
Hall has worked at the subs and salads shop since it opened on Maple Street in Carrollton on July 1. The restaurant also features a game room, which is currently being expanded to accommodate more pool tables and games, Hall said.

Our Star this week is Tristan Sharpton. This 12-year-old attends 7th grade at Bay Springs Middle School where he is a member of the Junior Beta Club. He works hard at school, is a great friend, and is an excellent brother to six-year-old Westin.
Tristan is very involved in sports. Since age 5, he has played baseball and soccer for the Carroll County Recreational Department. His other hobbies are playing Xbox, watching football, riding bicycles and collecting baseball cards.
